Dear Friend,

Its been a while since the last newsletter... I have been away from work due to health reasons, which you can read about on my blog.
Now I'm getting back into things and forging ahead implementing personal and company goals. We have great plans for the company which we will share with you over time.
Our main goal at the moment is the 'Growing' of Australian pumpkin seeds - growing them here and also growing the volume produced.
We are excited about a new trial pumpkin crop in Victoria which is growing very well. Even though the yield will be a small quantity it will help to supplement the increasing demands from all of you!
The website has a new News & Announcements section where we will keep you updated with progress and changes. Details below...

Website Page Updates

The main change is to the Growing/harvesting page under the main menu 'Pumpkin Seeds'. The new photos are from the current crop in Victoria. The whole section under 'Pumpkin Seeds' will slowly be revamped to be more informative on all processes from growing, through processing and packaging in the coming months. Scones with strawberry jam and whipped cream

Recipe - Pumpkin Seed Meal Scones

This was the easiest, tastiest scone recipe I have ever made!
Ingredients: 325g self raising flour (extra for dusting), 25g pumpkin seed meal, 2/3 cup lemonade, 2/3 cup thickened cream.
Method: For light and fluffy scones, sift flour 3 times with pumpkin seed meal into medium bowl. In separate bowl mix lemonade and cream together then add to flour mix. Gently fold in liquid until combined (do not over stir so you keep as much air in as possible). Press mixture out onto floured bench to 3.5cm thickness and cut out rounds with 5cm cookie cutter. Place rounds onto floured baking tray and cook in 225° C for 12 - 15 minutes. Serve hot with jam and whipped cream.
